Time to go

We are sitting on the floor in the dining room eating the remains of 1/2 gallon of Blue Bell ice cream. The car is just about packed and our house is just about empty. Yesterday was a great day for us. Our home church, 1st Baptist in Copperas Cove TX, sent us out to do missions in the same way that the church at Antioch sent Paul and Barnabus. We were really blessed by the ones who came to stand around us, lay thier hands upon us and pray for us we answer God's call upon our lives.
When I came back from Iraq a year and a half ago, I wanted to just be planted in one place and not have to leave for 20 or 25 years. We have lived in our house for just 4 years and God is calling us to move on. We have practiced being sojourners for our entire married life, so the moving part has been . . . well, let's just leave it at practiced. Now we get the opportunity to go to yet another country that is not our home. This time we are going to reflect that Light which Isaiah wrote about.
Now I have to pack up the lap-tops and put them in the car. I can't wait to see and be a part of what God has in store for us.

  3. Glad you made it to ILC intact. However, really sorry that cells phones will not work there. But I am sure you will survive. Just hop in the car and go somewhere else to make the calls to the kids/grandkids.

We made our weekend at Lubbock and got EVERYTHING done. We do not have to go back to finish anything. But we were really tired when we finally arrived back home late Sunday night. Now we are just waiting for the paper work on the house to be signed; then it's really done. We will do all that by mail so we don't have to return to Lubbock anytime soon.

    Keep in touch.
